Founder of Argianas & Associates Honored as Appraisal Institute's Volunteer of Distinction by Fellow Professionals

The Appraisal Institute recognized Argianas & Associates Founder Charles Argianas as a “Volunteer of Distinction”. Each quarter, the program honors the organization’s volunteers nominated by their members for their service to the Appraisal Institute, to the real estate valuation profession and to their local communities.

The Appraisal Institute is the nation’s largest professional association of real estate appraisers, and Charles is currently a member of their Chicago Chapter. “Charles Argianas has been a great contributor to the Appraisal Institute,” said Appraisal Institute President James L. Murrett, MAI, SRA. “We are grateful for the time, effort and talent of volunteers like Charles who have devoted themselves to the betterment of our organization, the valuation profession, and their local communities.”

Charles has been a long-standing member and volunteer for many years having served on the Appraisal Institute Education Trust from 2013-2017 and as a member of the Research Committee from 1993-1995. He also worked on the Appraisal Institute Education Trust Scholarship Committee. Throughout his career, he has dedicated his time and knowledge to mentoring numerous appraisers, as well as personally sponsoring 15 appraisers who all went on to achieve the Appraisal Institute’s MAI designation.

For this distinction, Charles was nominated by his peers. “I am truly humbled to be recognized by my colleagues and by the Appraisal Institute for serving, not only the institute but the profession and community,” said Argianas & Associates Founder, Charles Argianas. “To support the real estate community through committee work, chapter events, as well as our volunteer work with religious clients, is our way of putting our commitment to honesty and integrity to work through our actions.”

Charles joined a predecessor organization of the Appraisal Institute in 1989 when he received his MAI designation. Along with his work with the institute, he has also been published in The Appraisal Journal, National Real Estate Investor and the National Law Journal, and has provided quotes for articles in the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and Crain’s Chicago Business.
